Mental Health Ameriica-Augusta (MHAA) is part of the nation's oldest and largest community-based network dedicated to helping all Americans live mentally healthier lives.

MHA-A's vision is simple: To be a catalyst for good mental health and appropriate teatement of those who suffer from a mental illness in our community. We do this by Advocating for changes in policy through collaboration with local and state elected and appointive officials, and with other advocacy groups; by Educating the public and providing critical information about mental health and mental illness; and by delivering urgently needed Programs and Services, including crisis information.

An important part of our mission is to help you live your life well.  If you are under some stress during these difficult financial times, if you are depressed or find you have thoughts you can't understand, if you are facing some life changes - or simply some hurdles you are not sure you can get over - maybe we can help.

Removing The Stigma

Removing The Stigma Of Mental Illness is a video about and featuring mentally ill persons from the Shenandoah Valley and their creativity.  It may change how you see mental illness.   To request a showing for your civic, service or church group, contact us.

We appreciate your interest in visiting our website, and we urge you to look at the information we offer here, and at the work we do.  If you have any questions, just ask.  If you would like to help by supporting or becoming a part of our work, here's what you need to do.
